Day Training is offered Monday through Friday and is a great option for anyone. Whether a busy family, someone with a constantly changing schedule, first-time owners, or you just want to understand your pup more day training is an excellent option. Our program is flexible and customized to each family’s needs. We first teach your puppy how to learn and from there we start laying the foundation for living your best lives together.  With us, your pup will acquire the incredible manners and socialization necessary for proper development.

Did you know to become a healthy, happy, and balanced adult dog, puppies require 3-5 hours of focused attention every day?!?! So if you are feeling overwhelmed with your new puppy, going through the “puppy blues”  or wondering how you’re going to conquer the challenges of house training, puppy biting, and boundless energy (on top of running a busy household) why not let SBK9 do the hard work for you?  Day training allows us to make similar progress to our Board & Train without losing your nighttime cuddle session.

Plus, gone is the guilt or stress of leaving your puppy crated all day while you go to work or enjoy a day with friends or family. Now whenever you’re busy, your puppy will be busy too. For puppies, the daycare environment is not suitable for their young, impressionable selves. Oftentimes, dogs are monitored just to avoid any safety issues and the setting is mainly unstructured. Your puppy is likely to come home with more bad habits than having worked on any new ones.  Our day training classes are very small and done in our home-which we believe is the only place to teach a young dog how to live and act appropriately. Our day training runs on the same schedule as our board and train except you get to bring your puppy home at night! Please check out our board and train page for more information on the training environment as well as an overview of everything we work on:

Whether it's just a couple of mornings while you run errands, get work done or just take a break from the demands of puppy raising or a daily all-day affair you can be sure that you will start to enjoy puppyhood more.  The more time spent with us the calmer and better behaved your puppy will be, in return you get to spend more time enjoying your new pup instead of constantly reprimanding them.

Did you know each year thousands of dogs end up in pounds and shelters, due to behavioral problems developing in later life? This is often the result of a lack of proper socialization and training in the important early developmental stage of a puppy's life. Puppy training should start very early – as early as 8 weeks old! If you wait until your dog is older, even just 6 months, you might regret it.“By 6 months of age, almost all behavior problems are already in place,” says Dr. Carmen Battaglia. Dr. Battaglia has studied the effects of early socialization and development in puppies. In his article entitled “Early Puppy Training,” he says, “All dogs can benefit from obedience training as early as seven weeks and when the puppy enters his new home”
